The National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is committed to the wellbeing of those we serve. We recognize the challenges that abuse, trauma, and behavioral health needs cause for those we serve and as a result, are experts in providing unique solutions designed to address specific individual and familial needs.
What We Offer
In Illinois, we provide community-held behavioral health services as both a stand-alone program and as an integrated component of treatment foster care services.
The following services are available for Medicaid eligible children, youth, and adults:

Behavioral Health Case Management
Assists individuals by linking them with community resources and support designed to enhance their overall well-being.Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Helps individuals process their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors using strategies to manage symptoms of depression and anxiety.Emotion Regulation Treatment
Supports individuals as they identify, understand, and manage intense emotions, building on inherent strengths and enhancing resilience and well-being.Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Provides a person-centered therapy that helps individuals resolve ambivalence to find their own internal motivation to change behavior.Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Helps children, adolescents, and families heal from trauma and traumatic grief.
