During the home study process, NYAP’s team will answer any questions and ensure your home can comfortably accommodate each youth and provide the appropriate space and privacy.

Yes. Many of our foster parents work. The specific considerations will depend on the age and needs of the youth in your care. During the home study process, your NYAP team will discuss your work schedule, help you explore childcare options, and ensure you have a plan for appointments, emergencies, and other situations that may arise once you open your home to youth.
