Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)
NYAP’s Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Program was developed to advance a response to Illinois’ consent decrees to further empower and support individuals in vulnerable life situations. NYAP provides short-term housing solutions as they continue to receive case management. PSH can lend housing assistance, rental arrangement management, rental leases, and payment assistance to those who are ready for independent living.
Services Include:
Assisting at-risk individuals to escape inappropriate residential areas.
Providing alternatives for immediate and long-term psychiatric support.
Payment assistance through a temporary monthly stipend as the individual continues to seek and work toward other sources of income. NYAP also provides rental assistance for individuals with strong current housing options.
