NYAP provides immediate, community-held crisis services to address: 

  • Mental health challenges 

  • Substance use concerns 

  • Trauma-related distress 

  • Behavioral support

  • Resource linkage

We offer rapid, compassionate responses to safety concerns with in-person assessments, crisis stabilization, community engagement, and follow-up care to improve the well-being of youth and adults within their communities. 


Who We Serve

Within designated communities, our team serves youth and adults five years and older. We meet those we serve where they are — physically, emotionally, and culturally.

Our Goals

Our crisis services are centered on these key goals, empowering individuals to build stability and strengthen resilience:

  • Ensuring safety during mental health or behavioral crises 

  • Stabilizing individuals to avoid hospitalization, arrest, or displacement 

  • ·Linking individuals to the community-held services and supports they need

  • Promoting recovery and resilience through education, empowerment, and access

  • Strengthening families and communities by reducing crisis recurrence

Our Services

We are committed to creating safer, stronger communities and connecting youth and adults to the resources and support they need to live successfully in their communities. All services are 100% free and available when you need them most. We do this in many ways, including:  

Someone To Call 

  • 24/7/365 call center support 

  • Trained crisis professionals who listen, guide, and respond 

Someone To Listen 

  • On-site support from trauma-responsive clinicians 

  • De-escalation, risk assessment, and short-term stabilization 

A Place To Go

  • Welcome Centers for walk-in crisis care 

  • Safe, supportive environments with linkage to follow-up resources
