In-Home Therapeutic Services (IHTS)
Prevention, Family Preservation, & Intensive Reunification
Our Goals
NYAP provides therapeutic services, behavior management, employee support, family strengthening, parenting skills counseling, and 24/7 crisis response for families with youth ages 9 to 17.
The program aims to create a personal, coordinated, individualized, and solution-focused service plan for every family served.
Services are provided in the home, school, or other community settings. While the intensity and duration vary based on family need, there is a minimum of two contact hours per week for at least 90 days.

Program Length
NYAP anticipates the average enrollment for families being 4-6 months, depending upon the needs of the family. The core components of the program will be carried out in the following manner with the indicated time frames:
Engagement of the parent, child, and family
Immediate crisis stabilization
Strengths, Needs, Culture, and Vision Discovery
Child and Family Team formation
Development of the Child and Family Team Plan
Ongoing crisis and safety planning
Progress tracking and plan adaptation
Transition and discharge planning
