At the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP), we believe youth thrive best in families and communities where they feel safe, supported, and seen. We understand the complex challenges that trauma, abuse, and behavioral health conditions can create, so we provide personalized, community-based counseling to help individuals and families heal and grow.

What We Offer

In Georgia, NYAP provides community-based behavioral health services as both a stand-alone program and as an integrated component of our foster care services.

Services are available for eligible youth and adults, with self-pay options also available:

  • Comprehensive, person-centered assessments

  • Crisis intervention and support

  • Behavioral stabilization

  • Individualized treatment planning

  • Trauma-responsive individual and family therapy

  • Community support services

  • Discharge and aftercare planning

How We Help

Our Florida team uses proven, strengths-focused approaches tailored to each individual and family’s needs, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
    Helps individuals process their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors using strategies to manage symptoms of depression and anxiety.

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
    A person-centered approach that helps individuals identify goals, build motivation, and create positive behavioral change.

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
    Supports individuals in healing from trauma and traumatic grief.

Insurances We Accept

At NYAP, we believe healthy individuals and families are the foundation of strong communities. To make our services accessible to more families, we accept Sunshine Health Medicaid, TRICARE, Aetna, and some other private insurance plans. Fee-for-service options are also available.
