Behavioral Health
NYAP offers a comprehensive continuum of behavioral health treatment programs designed to strengthen and empower youth and families.
We meet children, youth, and families where they are and harness the power of voice and choice as an essential component of our programs. In collaboration with individuals and families, we identify specific treatment goals to help individuals and families solve problems, enhance communication, and increase their level of functioning.
Through our behavioral health treatment programs, individuals and families are supported in overcoming their challenges and able to lead more fulfilling lives.
Our Services:
School-Based Care: NYAP recognizes the value of early identification and intervention when a child or youth experiences challenges in school, home, or community settings. While family is central to a youth's life, school is also critical to their growth and development. By providing treatment services within the school setting, those served have easy access to behavioral health services within the school setting.
Therapy & Counseling: NYAP works with individuals as they identify the goals that are most important and beneficial to them. Through office and home-based counseling and therapy, we help improve the quality of relationships and communication, enhance individual and familial well-being, and support the overall ability to live successfully. Conditions treated include, but are not limited to trauma-based behaviors, juvenile legal involvement, attention-deficit disorder, depression, anxiety, treatment for children and youth with problematic sexual behaviors, and substance use disorders.
