Healthy Ways is a treatment approach for sexually reactive youth who are typically age 5-11. Treatment is administered on an individualized basis and includes individual and/or family Psychotherapy 1x per week. Psychotherapy in the home or school setting can be utilized, per the youth’s individual service plan, to augment office-based sessions and to ensure a transfer a learning into the natural setting. Healthy Ways programming is delivered by trained PASS clinicians. Due to most Healthy Ways youth having trauma histories which include their own victimization, Healthy Ways programming is rooted in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Programming includes a combination of treatment approaches, including experiential treatment which targets the youth’s developmental level.
