Trust-Based Relational Interventions is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable youth of all ages and risk levels. In this three-part series, we will explore the 3 Principles of TBRI. In session one we will explore The Connection Principles, which teaches us how to meet attachment needs and build healthy relationships with foster youth. Session two, The Empowering Principles, teaches us how to meet physical needs, managing transitions, and build self-regulation skills. Session three, The Correcting Principles teach us how to disarm fear-based behaviors, guide youth in developing healthy positive values, behaviors and develop good social skills and decision-making skills.
