RE-LICENSING SPECIALISTS (6)

SC Youth Advocate Program (SCYAP) is seeking up to 6 self-motivated, and detail-oriented individuals to maintain licensure status for resource/foster family homes for children in each county of a 10-county area in Upstate South Carolina; working with diverse communities a plus. The positions will collaborate with Licensing Coordinators in complying with the program's resource parent recruitment and retention plan, and will work closely with licensed families to assist them in continuing to meet annual/bi-annual training and certification requirements after initial licensure.   Individuals will gather and/or complete all necessary documentation for re-licensure, including but not limited to timely annual/quarterly/monthly/unannounced inspections, background checks, and home studies; they will also assist with training and provide on-going support to the families.  Individuals must be able to meet target-based goals on a strict timeline.  Minimum qualifications: BA/BS degree, at least 2 years experience in children's/human services, and eligibility to be a Certified Investigator in SC.  Strong background in recruiting/licensing foster homes aneak_dash_gray.gif" width=499 height=2>

FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES COORDINATORS (2)

SC Youth Advocate Program (SCYAP) is seeking individuals with excellent organizational and communication skills to provide direct and indirect support for resource/foster families for children in a 10-county area in Upstate South Carolina.  The positions will have thorough knowledge and understanding of the program's resource parent recruitment and retention plan, and will have the responsibility of supporting and guiding the resource family, and interacting with DSS caseworkers and the community.  Activities include, but are limited to, recommending potential resource families for children needing placement, face-to-face and telephone contact with resource families and children placed in the home, providing crisis support, providing one-on-one training and interfacing with collaborative agencies to register families for pre-service and on-going training,  assisting with family reunification visits, advocating for services and resources for families, coordinating respite care, and maintaining an around-the-clock support and information hotline.  Minimum qualifications: BA/BS degree, at least 2 years experience in children's/human services, and eligibility to be a Certified Investigator in SC.  Strong background in recruiting/licensing foster homes and understanding of DSS foster home licensure regulations and documentation preferred.
